Overview

The integumentary system is the organ mostly comprised of our skin - primarily responsible for protecting your body from the "outside." Our skin is the largest organ system by surface area in our body. Although obvious functions include secretion, temperature regulation and sensory perception, our skin can also mimic certain obvious signs of disease from within the body - making it an important organ in diagnosis of ailments.
