Overview
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) refers to any medical practice that differs from conventional allopathic or
osteopathic
medicine. CAM is often based on cultural, traditional or historical medical interventions that often involve therapies with herbal supplements rather than pharmaceutical drugs. Typically, the job of an alternative medicine practitioner is to treat a condition holistically rather than regionally.
